New Model Playground at Karapanagiotis’ Park in Mytilene
Actionplay successfully completed the reconstruction and upgrade project of the playground within the Karapanagiotis Park in Mytilene. In collaboration with the Municipality of Mytilene, we created a modern, safe and creative play area that meets the strictest European safety standards.
The aim of the project was to fully restore the functionality of the space and upgrade its aesthetics.
The work included:
– Safety flooring:
We installed a Cast Rubber Safety Floor, which offers top-notch anti-vibration protection (HIC) and resistance to weather conditions.
– Playground equipment:
New, durable equipment that encourages activity was installed, such as: Multi-function device with ladder and slide. Four-seater swing. Two-seater toddler seesaw. Wooden activity panel for creative activities.
– Urban Equipment & Fencing:
We took care of the overall image of the space by repairing the wooden fencing, installing a new double-leaf door, wooden seating areas, waste and recycling bins, as well as a bike rack.
Certification:
The space was delivered with full suitability certification, ensuring that every detail, from rainwater runoff to the durability of the materials, is in accordance with the EN1176 and EN1177 standards.
For Actionplay, every playground is a vital space for the local community. At Karapanagiotis Park, the use of colored EPDM granules combined with the natural design of the instruments created an environment that is fully in harmony with the greenery of the park, offering the children of Mytilene a play space that they deserve.
