Supply of sports equipment for the dome of the Kardamena Municipal Sports Complex
The first dome in the Dodecanese is a fact. The Kardamena Sports Complex can now welcome young and old athletes in a modern, certified, safe and protected sports area.
Actionplay could not be absent from the realization of the vision of the Kos citizens.
Our company, for the construction of the 7mm thick synthetic polyurethane sports floor, collaborated with the leading flooring manufacturer of this type, Casali Spa. The safe and flexible Pavisint SL 75 system that was installed has been designed specifically for indoor sports areas and multi-purpose gyms. The system reduces the risk of slipping, reduces muscle fatigue and ensures better ball bounce. The Pavisint SL 75 system also ensures excellent acoustic comfort, as confirmed by special tests. In particular, it carries the following performance certificates:
• International Basketball Federation Certificate – F.I.B.A. cat. 2
• Laboratory test control for Reaction to fire class Bfl-s1
• Laboratory test control for Improvement of impact sound insulation according to standard EN ISO10140 – 3:2010 / EN ISO 717
• Laboratory test control for Thermal reaction according to standard EN 12664:2002
• Certificate of conformity that the offered floor meets standard EN14904:2006
• Certificate of conformity that the offered floor meets standard DIN 18032
• Certificate of conformity according to EN ISO 16001-9 – Indoor air quality
• Certificate of conformity according to EN ISO 21196:2007 – Antibacterial activity
Baskets transported with an extension spring mechanism specially designed for balanced and effortless expansion/contraction of the 225cm cantilever by SODEX SPORT. This type of basketball has non-marking PU wheels that allow easy rolling and optimal weight distribution to avoid possible damage to the floor. The counterweights and extension springs are fully covered at all times to avoid injuries or vandalism. The equipment is covered with a protector around the base, the body, the neck and the backboard to prevent injuries. This type of portable basketball has a Certificate of the International Basketball Federation – F.I.B.A. cat. 2 and bears a certificate of conformity according to EN 1270.
An electronic scoreboard was also installed along with 24/14’’ stopwatches from the FIBA-certified company STRAMATEL, a secretariat table, a volleyball set and a metal stand with a capacity of 100 spectators.
