Upgrading of Sports Infrastructure in the Municipality of Limnos
Actionplay, with extensive experience in the field of construction, renovation and equipment of sports facilities, successfully completed the project to upgrade the football infrastructure of the Municipality of Lemnos. The project involved the complete modernization of the municipal football fields in the Local Communities of Atsiki and Agios Dimitrios, with the aim of creating modern, functional and completely safe sports facilities for the youth and local clubs of the island. A series of large-scale specialized technical interventions were implemented within the framework of the project.
Preparation & Dismantling:
Complete removal and sanitary dismantling of the old, worn surfaces.
Synthetic Turf Installation:
Supply, transport and skillful installation of state-of-the-art synthetic turf, of high strength and density, on a total area of 12,400 sq m.
Drainage & Water Collection Infrastructure:
Construction of perimeter water collection channels and installation of heavy-duty steel gratings for the direct drainage of rainwater.
Sports Equipment:
Installation of new football goals (goal posts) and modern shelters for substitute players and technical leadership.
Electric Lighting:
Installation of new 12-meter-high lighting masts, ensuring the proper functioning of the fields during the afternoon and evening hours.
Actionplay sets the quality of constructions and the protection of athletes as an absolute priority. All materials and works applied in the project of the Municipality of Lemnos are governed by strict international certifications. The synthetic turf and sports equipment meet the strictest quality standards, ball-surface interaction and player safety. The materials have excellent shock absorption to protect the joints of athletes, high resistance to ultraviolet radiation (UV) and severe weather conditions, while they are made of environmentally friendly raw materials.
With the delivery of these two sports centers, the Municipality of Lemnos has acquired infrastructure of European standards. The project strengthens amateur sports, promotes sports in a modern environment and ensures the free and unhindered use of the fields throughout the year.
